Explore music at Gipson Play Plaza with Raleigh Music Collective on Sunday, November 8, 2026, from 2 to 4 p.m. local Eastern time. Dix Park lists this as a free program for all ages, including beginners.
The planned program includes two youth quartets, chances to play along with simple percussion and other instruments, and a sensory art activity painting old instruments. No musical experience is required.
Use the organizer’s event page to register. Registration opens two weeks before each session at noon and is required to receive weather-cancellation notices. Availability is not guaranteed; check the registration link before making plans. In bad weather, the organizer will cancel and email registered participants.
The park gives 701 Palmer Drive, Raleigh, as the House of Many Porches Market arrival address. Public lots B, D, E and G have accessible parking and paths into Gipson Play Plaza. The source includes additional accessibility details and an accommodation-request link.
