Wake County voters will decide two education-related bond proposals in the November 3, 2026 election. The school district and Wake Tech have published descriptions of the projects the proposed borrowing would support.

WCPSS describes a proposed $680 million general-obligation bond for school renovations, repairs, safety improvements and construction where needed. County commissioners have separately agreed to provide $152.3 million in pay-as-you-go cash funding. That cash contribution is additional to the proposed bond amount.

Wake Tech’s proposed $149.1 million Workforce Forward Bond would support workforce training and renew college facilities, technology and infrastructure. Its plan includes $20 million for public-safety expansion at Eastern Wake Campus, with classrooms and practical training spaces for the Fire and Rescue Training Center.

These are proposals, not an announcement that voters have approved the borrowing. Read both institutions’ project descriptions for the full scope. Early voting runs October 15–31; Election Day is November 3.
